Yellow-headed Oak Slugworm Caliroa cinxia

This larva reminded me of the Pear Slug Sawfly Caliroa cerasi that I had seen previously, so I suspected it would be a closely-related species. There is another similar species on oak: Ring-footed Slugworm Caliroa annulipes but I don't think that ever has such yellow foreparts. Had I know that you really need to see the head capsule that is hidden in dorsal view by the thoracic mantle I would have made sure I got a lower angle from the front, but I think you would have seen at least a hint of the darker head on the first photo had it been annulipes, and although these are apparently variable, I'm not sure if that species is ever as yellow-headed as this.
