Long-barred Ochre Ypsolopha sylvella
Previously given the vernacular name Wood Smudge.
This came to light at a field margin along a hedgerow and under a mature Pedunculate Oak. The slightly commoner Short-barred Ochre Ypsolopha alpina is similar but the diagonal bands through the forewing are shorter. On this example the bands showed purply reflections at some angles to the light (showing in the third photo below for example).
