Mottled Grey Tortrix Gypsonoma oppressana

Formerly given the vernacular name Poplar Shoot.

This came to light close to a belt of poplars.

The above was the first I'd trapped but I'd previously seen and photographed this one from among a batch of moths passed to me for identification/confirmation by Geoff Turner who had been staying in Weybourne. I don't have the exact date of its capture.
