European Pepper Moth Duponchelia fovealis

A scarce but apparently increasing species in Norfolk, either as an adventive or a migrant. Formerly given the vernacular name Dark Marbled Tabby.

I am yet to catch this species, but this one was kindly shown to me by Laura King when I confirmed a Hoary Footman that she had caught the same night. The white cross-lines are broader than on many specimens, judging from photos of this species online.
