Jersey Mocha Cyclophora ruficiliaria

I've never caught this species which is a very rare migrant to the UK. It has been caught in Norfolk a couple of times up to 2024 but this one was caught in Dorset. I'm not entirely clear about the circumstances - I think it was trapped by a visiting moth-er and brought back to show friends at home. It ended up in the posession of a friend of mine who happened to have it with him when I saw him a few days later, so I took the opportunity to take this photo.
