Sthenarus rotermundi

I found this on me, presumably after I'd brushed past a tree that it had been on (the species is normally associated with Grey and White Poplar - I don't recall if I had passed either). The extent of white hairs on the upperparts seems to vary, though I'm not sure if that's due to wear or if they vary before they get worn. Anyway the hairs on this one were a bit patchy and asymmetrical so I suspect it started life (well, adult life) with a more extensive covering of hairs. The white hairs also covered much of the underparts, espescially on the sides of the abdomen.
