Corixa punctata
This came to my garden moth trap on a very hot night. I get lots of water boatmen to light but very few of the larger species in the genus Corixa. This was my first identified Corixa at home and it arrived on the same night as an even larger Common Backswimmer Notonecta glauca, which was also a first for me and apparently unusual at light.
Many water boatmen that come to light don't survive the night and this one was practically dead by the time I found and photographed it in the morning.
