Cymbiodyta marginella

Formerly known as Cymbiodyta marginellus and shown as such in various references including the Duff and Hackston keys.

This one came to light.

This also came to light. I had a small problem keying it (initially using Duff) as Duff requires the apical maxillary palpomere to be not longer than the penultimate palpomere. On this beetle it was longer - only very slightly longer, but definitely longer. Hackston words this difference slightly differently, explicitly allowing the segments to be of equal length, and they were approximately equal. Anyway, if I take it to be longer it keys to a choice between genera that both have five tarsomeres on the mid and hind tarsi whereas this only had four, so I'm sure I have to treat them as equal. None of my references illustrate or describe the genitalia of this species (the only one in the genus in the UK) but I thought it might be useful to know what they look like in case of problems getting it (or something similar) to genus.
