Contacyphon variabilis
This genus was formerly known as Cyphon and many references have this species listed as Cyphon variabilis.
The head was much paler than I expected on this species, though it was clearly darker than the pronotum. I'm glad the genitalia were distinctive - I wouldn't have been confident about the ID without that. It came to light in my garden moth trap.
