Pear Slug Sawfly Caliroa cerasi
In September 2021 I saw Martin Harvey's and Andy Musgrove's tweets about this species' larvae and immediately thought that I had recently seen them locally on Hawthorn and not realised what they were. Later I couldn't find them where I remembered seeing them but soon found them at a number of other sites around the parish, mostly on Blackthorn or other Prunus (domestic Plum I think) but also on Cotoneaster.
