Green-socks Peacock Elaphrus riparius
I found this running along the mud at the edge of a pond. The small size (about 6.5mm) and single dark shining 'mirror' on each elytron helped to identify it. The bright metallic green colouration covering most of the beetle except the tibia was very obvious when looking at it under the microscope but very hard to see when viewing through a hand lens.
