Southern Oak Bush-cricket Meconema meridionale

This species has spread north from southern Europe and reached the UK in 2001. I think the first in Norfolk was 2017 but there have been at least a handful of records since and it is presumably now well-established here if perhaps not yet very common.

I found this one above the entrance to my shed while I was going through my garden moth trap. I had moved the trap to the shed and didn't see it come out of or away from the trap, so it's not entirely clear if it was attracted to the light overnight or not. I suspect it was, even if it didn't go into the trap - it's not uncommon for Oak Bush-crickets to settle somewhere nearby rather than going in.
