Corsican Pine Aphid Cinara acutirostris
These aphids were knocked out of the lower branches of an isolated pine tree which I was not able to identify to species. I am not 100% certain about the ID and would welcome feedback, but I think this fits best. I did attempt to look at the rostrum length but made a bit of a mess of it thanks to not being quite sure which segment was which. I could find 4 clearly differentiated segments plus a membranous wispy bit at the tip. If that was R5 then it was clearly more than 3x its basal width. Also there were some hairs on the dorsal surface between the siphunculi and these were well over 50μm long (two measured were over 60μm and over 90μm - and they may not have been quite flat to the camera so the true length was probably more. Not visible in the photos, there was a pair of broad white lateral wax bands on the underside of the body.
