Russian White-fronted Goose Anser albifrons albifrons
This nomimate race is the usual form of Greater White-fronted Goose to occur here in Norfolk and indeed in most of England. It used to be more often known as Eurasian White-fronted Goose but Russian White-fronted Goose seems to be the favoured name nowadays.

The extent of barring on the belly of adult White-fronted Geese varies from individual to individual but the first one shown in the next set of photos is at the upper extreme for Russian White-fronted Goose. On average Russian albifrons has less dark on the belly than Greenland flavirostris, but they don't all follow that rule.
