Rust-red Flour Beetle Tribolium castaneum

The vernacular name is variously written with or without the hyphen and sometimes with the "rust" coming after the "red" (only in error?) but is also quite often known simply as Red Flour Beeetle.

I found this on the arm of my armchair in the living room. Although best known as a pest of grain products this was the only example found and it wasn't in the room where there was any flour or cereals. They're also found in more natural situations so I suspect this had arrived here naturally rather than having been brought in with food products?
