Black-headed Cardinal Beetle Pyrochroa coccinea
I usually see a few Red-headed Cardinal Beetles Pyrochroa serraticornis each spring and always look to make sure they don't have a black head. Finally I found one that did - but I didn't realise quite how scarce they are in Norfolk until I looked it up later. Looks like there were only six records up to 2021. The males also have longer pectinations on the antennae compared to serraticornis.
