Black Snail Beetle Phosphuga atrata
Also known as Black Carrion Beetle, this species was formerly placed in the genus Silpha and so is referred to in many books and online references as Silpha atrata.

I have this one down as being at Burnham Overy Dunes which doesn't seem very typical habitat for this species, but it was at the east end of the dunes, probably near where Holkham Pines end.
