Black Oil Beetle Meloe proscarabaeus

This is the only oil beetle (or blister beetle) that occurs in my home county of Norfolk but I've not found it here yet, or indeed anywhere in the UK. This one was in Corsica and I think it's this species. At least, it looks like proscarabaeus and I understand that proscarabaeus does occur in the Bonifacio area where this was. I think I can eliminate all the other UK species, but I don't know for certain that there aren't any other confusion species in Corsica.
