Lagria hirta
This is the Tenebrionid beetle that I see most often, with it regularly turning up at light and also quite frequently found resting on leaves etc. during the daytime.

I must admit I don't routinely take specimens to check critically for Lagria atripes (which I gather is only found in Hampshire and Kent). Duff uses characters of the pronotum texture and eye incision to separate them; Hackston (which I must have used here) uses the pronotum and the elytra hair pattern. I like to think that if I did come across a Lagria atripes I would pick up on its larger size, though I suppose it's plausible that I might overlook a small one.
