Hypera nigrirostris

While I was struggling to eliminate the brown form of this species when I was identifying what I eventually decided was Hypera venusta, I examined quite a few photos of nigrirostris. I was therefore moderately familiar with how the normal green form should look and when I found this beetle in a pitfall trap (in propylene glycol, so no live photos) I had a pretty good idea what it was. But I keyed it out fully, using Duff, to make sure. It's an attractive little thing - I look forward to finding a live example.
