Hylastes ater

Hylastes ater, Frost's Common (Norfolk, UK), 21st May 2020
This was found on my net after I'd done some sweeping. I'm not sure now which resources I used to identify it, but somehow I identified it as Hylurgops palliatus. I no longer have the specimen, but looking back at the photos and comparing it to photos of that species, I'm sure I was mistaken. I think it looks better for Hylastes, probably Hylastes ater, but as there are several similar species of Hylastes I suspect it's not safe to record it as such.
