Cryptocephalus aureolus
An extroadinarily beautiful species.

Quite a few of these striking beetles were found, all in the flowerheads of yellow Asteraceae. The following photos probably include the above individual but may also include at least one of the others that weren't retained for checking. However, in view of the scarcity of the other similar species and the size difference of the most similar one, I think it's probably safe to assume they were all aureolus.
