Asparagus Beetle Crioceris asparagi

As I was walking past some asparagus plants I noticed that they were adorned by little jewels. Upon closer inspection I realised they were beetles so leaned over to pot one for identification. That was simply achieved by googling "Asparagus Beetle" and then double-checking there weren't any confusion species. Such a beautiful insect - a shame asparagus growers regard them as pests.
