Crepidodera aurea

I've mainly found this species on Aspen but it gets on other poplars, and less commonly on willows. This one was on willow, though there were some big poplars very nearby so I'm not sure it was necessarily bred from willow.

I suspect the leaf damage (on Aspen) showing in these photos was caused by the larvae of Crepidodera aurea. The beetle above was taken from among the many similar beetles present on the leaves although I didn't actually check the ID of the ones in the photos below.
