This seems to be by far the commonest member of the Latridiidae family.

This came to light in a meadow. I thought the pronotum was widest in front of the middle but I wasn't convinced it only had five visible sternites. In the end I settled on gibbosa, partly because I think the texture of the head fits that better. If I keyed it past Cortinicara then given the proportions of the pronotum I think it would have to be Corticarina similata or lambiana which apart from being much less likely anyway, would also be in the wrong habitat. I'd not noticed those sensoria on the tergites before - I wonder if their size or position might be helpful in identifying these?
