Carpelimus pusillus

This beetle keyed straight to Carpelimus pusillus but there were a few couplets where the decisions were marginal so I was very glad that it proved to be a male and thus I could check the genitalia matched. It was very small - about 1.5mm long.

Like the last one, these two came to light. I keyed them using Lott and both came out as pusillus. Unfortunately both were females so I was unable to confirm them genitalically, but there weren't any particularly problematic couplets in getting them to pusillus. The site, a lowland meadow restoration (ex-arable) was just over a mile away from the previous one (grassland).
