Acalyptus carpini

A relatively scarce species apparently. It is quite well-recorded from Norfolk but judging from the NBN Atlas it looks like it's absent from most of the rest of the country.


Although this species is normally associated with willow, I swept this one from Hemp Agrimony. There's plenty of willow in the area though. It seemed quite distinctive with its bronzy, almost golden-brown appearance and after coming up with a possible name for it I reverse-keyed it using Duff.
