Reed Yellow-face Bee Hylaeus pectoralis

A species of reedbeds from East Anglia to southern England.

This was on a Bindweed flower next to a reed bed. It was keyed using Falk's book. The only slight hiccup was with the relative width of the scape (seems to depend on the angle you view it from) and then the comment in the main text saying it should have a "lack of any white hair fringes on the hind margin of tergite 1 at the sides." - it did have a slight fringe at the side. Everything else checks out and there seem to be multiple characters ruling out all the other possibilities.
