Meller's Duck Anas melleri (?)

This species occurs naturally in Madagascar.

I am by no means certain about the identification of this captive bird. As far as I remember there was no signage indicating its supposed identity and at the time I labelled my photos as possible Hawaiian Duck (Anas wyvilliana). I don't recall what led me to that tentative conclusion, and looking back at the photos and comparing with photos online, I think it probably wasn't Hawaiian Duck. It seems to be a better fit for Meller's Duck. However, I didn't not see the speculum and given that it could in theory be a species from anywhere in the world (many of which I am not familiar with) or a hybrid of two (or more) speices, I don't feel confident about this identification.

If you can shed any light on this bird's identification, or if you know whether or not Pensthorpe held Meller's Ducks in their collection at this time, please get in touch.
